Overview
Requested by Joe Murphy, Bottom of Funnel - Ferguson on 4/26/21
Description
ย
Hypothesis: we can increase average order value if we make it easier for customers to find related products and add them to the cart.
Proposed solution: when a customer adds an item to the cart, slide out a confirmation screen showing that item has been added, along with frequently purchased together and Addition Accessories product suggestions.
What is the problem?
Customers may not be aware of other items they need with the product theyโre buying.
How did you become aware of the problem?
Observation during usability testing, anecdotes from associates.
Who is affected (customer, associate)?
Customer
What is the value to the business and/or customers?
Intended value:ย โข$10-15M annual increase, if we attain a $10-15 increase in Average Order Value
Improve find-abilityo
Improve the bottom-of-funnel UX
Ideal outcome
Confidence to move ahead with the design; conduct A/B testing on production to evaluate effect on Average Order Value.
Known constraints
