Add a comment to an issue through email
How do I get feedback from others that are not in Jira?
You and others can add a comment to Jira issues using email.
Add your issue key to the subject of the email - anywhere in the subject will work.
Add jira@fergusonprod.atlassian.net in your To: or CC: field.
Add this to your contacts so you don’t have to remember the address.
The body of your email will be added as a comment to the issue noted in the subject.
4. If your recipient does a Reply All:
The contents of that email will also be added as a comment.
The content of the email before the separator is what is included in each comment.
If your recipient only does Reply:
No comment is added to the issue.
If you would like the recipients replies to be included as a comment, let them know in the email that they should Reply All.
