Power BI Jira Connector

To create a Jira connection to Power BI:

  1. Select Power BI under the Apps menu

  1. At the bottom of the page select Add New Connector

  1. Give your connection a meaningful name and description. Any connections that are using the default name will be reviewed and removed.

  2. Add a filter so you are only pulling the information you need (projects, issues, statuses, etc).

    1. You can create this filter in Jira first if you need to see how much data it will pull.

    2. Once you have added your filter, click on Validate JQL. You should get a green check if it is good.

  1. Select the fields you want to include in your data source.

  1. Click on Save and Close

  1. You will see the generated URL for your connection. Copy the URL and use that to set up an ODATA connection in Power BI.
