You can export issues from Jira to a CSV file that you can open in Excel
Step-by-step guide
Create a query in Jira that will find all the issues you want to export.
Try to limit the number of issues on each export to under 5k as exporting a large number could impact performance and also corrupt the Excel file.
You can check the number of issues in your query at the bottom of the screen.
3. Add the columns that contain the fields you need.
You will get a LOT of extra columns/fields you don’t need if you opt to export all fields. Choose wisely.
4. In the top right corner of the Search page select Export.
5. Select CSV (Current fields) for Build and Export Excel CSV (My Defaults) for Prod
7. In Build Jira, choose a delimiter (Comma should be fine)
8. Select a location to save your export.
